INSOMNIA.

A glass of hot milk should be taken last thing at, night before retiring, by people who suffer from insomnia.

To be really effective it must bo quite hot, and should be sipped very slowly. X drink milk quickly is almost sure to bring on an attack of indigestion. Sound sleep is one of the best complexion beautifiers there is.

THAT "SHINY APPEARANCE of the face that is so often evident on the first hot— even moderately hotday is very distressing to the unhappy possessor. This condition of the skin should be treated at once, as it is caused by the waste matter of the skin not being carried off by the proper channel— pores— will result in blackheads and open, distended pores. Mile. Helena Rubinstein, the leading Complexion Specialist of the- world, recommends the following treatment: Wash the face at night, using warm water, and, instead of soap, the Virilize Beauty Grains, 2/6, Which not only cleanse the pores, but whiten and refine the skin's tissue. This followed by a nightly application of the wonderful Valaze Skin Food, 4/-, and 7/-, and the daily use of Valaze Liquidine, 5/and 8/6, a marvellously cooling and cleansing preparation, will rapidly bring the skin back to its normal velvety appearance.

.Madmoiselle Rubinstein's book, "Beauty in the Making," will be sent to any address, post free, on application. It contains many valuable hints on the scientific care of the complexion, also a complete list of Mile. Rubinstein's preparations, together with their prices. Valaze preparations obtainable all leading Chemists, or direct, post free, from Mile. Helena Rubinstein, Dept. 51, Strand Arcade. Auckland.
