SOLDIERS' PARCEL.
A LONG JOURNEY. ■ As showing the thoroughness of the postal I service to New Zealand soldiers, the case of a Wellington resident is cited. On October 28 of last year the parents posted to their son in Gallipoli a tin of lollies. j The gift was sent to Egypt, and thence on I to Gallipoli, whither the soldier had been despatched. Before the .gift arrived tho young man had been wounded and was in hospital in Egypt. His comrades readdressed it and forwarded it on to the hosI pital. The parcel followed the invalid to ] England, thence to Roxburgh, New Zeai land, to which place he had returned. It i reached its rightful owner belatedly but ! safe, though much battered, on July 9 > last.
