MINISTERS IN AUCKLAND.
HON. DR. McNAB'S ARRIVAL. ! The Hem. Dr. R. McNab. Minister for Justice and Marine, armed" in Auckland from Wellington yesterday morning and is staying at the Star Hotel. Yesterday afternoon ho visited tho waterside workers, at present in the hospital, who were injured by the, explosion of acid on the Monowai. This morning, with Sir Francis Bell, acting Minister for Land?, he will go into tbo question of the accommodation of land transfer draughtsmen in Auckland. In the afternoon the Minister will meet the ' Mayor and the membeis of the City Council in regard to the lease of the quarry on the prison reserve at Mount Eden. In the evening the Minister will deliver a lecture before members of the Civic League, entitled, " How and Where New Zealand History was Unearthed. Dr. McNab will bo in Auckland for about three days, and during his visit to the North he will probably take a short voyage on ono of the trawlers to observe at first hand the actual conditions of the fishing industry. He will in all probability take an opportunity of visiting tho oyster beds in the Hauraki Gulf. The Minister is accompanied by his private eecretarv, Mr. G. W. Black.
Sir Francis Bell, Minister for Immigration and Leader of the Legislative Council, also Minister for Lands, will receive deputations to-day in connection with Departmental business. The Minister will probably return to the South on Wednesdav.
