YESTERDAY'S RESPONSE.
THIRTY-SIX VOLUNTEER.
SEVENTEEN PASS DOCTOR.
Tninrr-six men enrolled at tho city recruiting station yesterday, and of that number 17 were accepted, five were deferred, and 14 were rejected as unfit for active service. Several recruits who were previously deferred were re-examined, and si. satisfied the medical and dental officers as to their fitness for service.
