DCNEDIN. Wednesday. The Minister for Defence, the Hon. James Allen, states that New Zealand has a full division in the field, numbering over 20,000 men. They occupy part of the Ypres salient. They were formerly under command of General Bird wood, but (General Sir Alexander ftodley. commander of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is now < ommanding the Anzac Army Corps, including the New Zealanders and a portion of the Australians. The New Zealand division has been under the command of Brigadier-General Sir A. H. Russell. General Birdwood has taken over it newcommand.
