ADMISSION OF BRITISH CAPTURE OF TRENCHES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, Aueust 15.
A German communique states: " The English made repeated attacks on the Ovillers-Bazentin Le Petit line, and again obtained a foothold on the first line of trenches from Thiepval to Pozieres, from which they were repulsed yesterday morning. The French twice fruitlessly attacked Maurepas and Hem."
