PATRIOTIC CONCERT. [from nrn own- coxuiesfo-VDExt.] The conceit and sale organised by tho -Mf>rrinsvillc Presbyterian Church in aid of the Navy Relief Fund proved very successful, the sum of £65 being raised. To this must be added the amount of £17 raised by the Motumaolio residents on the previous evening as the proceeds of the dame. At the monthly meeting of the Town Board it was resolved to pay a war bonus to the workmen. The chairman stated that counsel in the Native Reserve ease had come to an agreement whereby the hearing of the case would be confined to legal argument on the evidence already taken. This would mean a considerable saving in the expenses for witnesses. A long report from the Works Committee, dealing with repairs to the various streets in the Town Board area, was adopted after lengthy discussion. The rate struck at the last meeting. 2Jd, was confirmed. Mr. E. Westlake. of the local staff of the Bank of New Zealand, has been transferred to Hunterville. Mr. A. Lamhie. of Motumaolio. broke his leg recently and was taken to the Hamilton Hospital.
