TWENTY.EIGHT SURVIVORS ARRIVE AT MALTA. deceived 11 P»-> MALTA. August i. Twenty-eight survivors of the mail steamer Letimbro have arrived bere. The vessel carried a crew of 57, and 113 passengers, including women and children.
T.f A u submarine WaS observed four miles away. It chased the letimbro, shelling her continuously. When she was overtaken the letimbro B boats were lowered, whereupon the submarine shelled them, smashing five. It is believed that the occupants were drowned, and many were killed by shells.
