SIX ZEPPELINS ENGAGED IN LATEST NIGHT RAID.

EIGHTY BOMBS EFFECT VERY SMALL DAMAGE.

MILITARY OBJECT OF THE ENEMY NOT APPARENT.

High Commissioner's Cabled Message. LONDON. August 3. The night air raiders comprised at least six Zeppelins. They attacked Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex simultaneously. Except at one point they did not penetrate far inland. One airship, and perhaps a second, made for the coast of Kent. One or two hits are claimed against the first raider.

Eighty bombs were dropped, but the damage is astonishingly small. Nine horses were killed and three others injured. The military object of the raid is not apparent.
