RUSSIANS ON THREE SIDES OF CZERNOVITZ.
ENEMY ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE STORES.
RUMOUR THAT THE TOWN HAS BEEN EVACUATED.
LONDON. JUNE 16.
It is reported in Bucharest that Czernovitz, the capital of Bukovina, has been evacuated by the Austrians, and that the Russians are now in possession of the town.
>u The Petrograd correspondent of the London Daily Telegraph states that General Letchitsky's troops are round Czernovitz on three sides. The enemy's tardiness in evacuating the town is due to a desire to remove important stores.
