GERMAN DESTROYERS DRIVEN TO THEIR PORTS. / ENEMY MINE-LAYER BLOWN UP OFF SWEDEN. jVv LONDON. MAY 17. ■Jk ' It is officially announced that a short engagement was fought ::|v; on the Belgian coast on Tuesday afternoon between British destroyers '£ and monitors and German destroyers. The .enemy withdrew to -^J. : ■ Belgian coast ports. There were no British casualties. i ' •, A Copenhagen message states that a German minelayer was blown ' ' up off Falsterbo, in the extreme south of Sweden, by one of its ',; own mines. One man waß killed... Several of the crew were rescued.
