BALLOT FOR RUAHINE SECTIONS.
IST TELEGRAPH.—PRESS association.l Wellington, Thursday, .At the Land Board meeting today a billot was taken for sections in the Ruabine Survey District, 21 miles from Uangawcka. Preference was given to re Tamed soldiers, men on active service, men showing proof of enlistment, and landless applicants with dependants. The ballot resulted -.—Section 7, Block 5, 563 acres, 29 applicants, Mathew H. Ham mond, Taihapo. rejected recruit; Section 8, Block 5, 765 acres, 24 applicants, Frederick Hammond. Taihape, rejected recruit; Section 1,. Block 6, 798 acres, 26 j applicants, James G. Comford, Feildine, j oldier in training; Section 2, Block 6, j 1453 acres, 25 applicants, Vivian P. Ncttlefoid, Mangaweka, enlisted man.
