ONE-TREE HILL LOAN.
TOLL TO BE TAKEN.
A poll of the ratepayers of One-tree Hill Road District will be taken op May 6 on a proposal to borrow £4000 for various improvements in the district. The money is required for various specific purposes, including:—(a) The repayment of the sum of £687, portion of an existing overdraft incurred in connection with the drainage in Manukau Road and Williamson Street, and the purchase of land to widen Campbell Road; (b) to provide storm-water drainage in Lewin Road, Market Road, and Baker Street, estimated to cost £1000; (c) to kerb and channel principal roads, including levelling and filling, £1613; (d) to purchase a steam roller costing £700. The rate required to pay interest and sinking fund is onesixteenth of a penny in the £.
