CAPTURE OF SIR ROGER CASEMENT DESCRIBED.

LANDED PROM SUBMARINE IN COLLAPSIBLE BOAT. THREATS AGAINST LIFE OF THE AMBASSADOR TO AMERICA. (Received April 27, 11 D.m.) London, April 26. The capture of Sir Roger Casement was described in the House of Lords by the Marquis of Lansdowne. He said that a German submarine and a German vessel with false papers, pretending to be a Dutch trader, appeared off the west coast of Ireland. Sir Roger Casement and two others were landed from the submarine in a collapsible boat. A warship ordered the other vessel to go to Queenstown. She obeyed for a time, but then flew the German flag and was scuttled. The crew were saved. Sir Cecil Spring Rice, British Ambassador to the United States, has received an anonymous letter threatening death to himself and every British official in the United States if Sir Roger Casement is hanged. A cypher message received in New York on £ 'inday indicated that a revolt had started in Ireland, and asked Irish-n.nericans for help. Great activity in, the Irish headquarters followed.
