At the meeting of the Auckland Hospital board last evening the chairman, Mr- M. J. Coyle. presented Nurse Mander with a gold medal, presented bv the board, for obtaining the highest marks among those nurses of the hospital who Eat for the State examination. Mr. Coyle congratulated Nurse Mander on her accomplishment, and said that th« lecturers and the honorary staff, as well as the resident .' medical staff and the matron, had all spoken very hi"*?- of her work.
