A 'Is A deaft of 635 men who have enlisted for F the twelfth reinforcements will leave various centres in the Auckland military district to-day for the various training camps. The draft will include 600 men— Auckland's quota for the twelfth reinforcements of the Naw Zealand Expeditionary Forceand 55 probationary non-commis-sioned officers for the fourteenth reinforce- ' A ments. ' The completion of the Featherston camp ( and the reorganisation of the system of J training the various arms of the service T has necessitated slightly different arrange- ( ments for the despatch of recruits from < those obtaining in the past. The Mounted i Rifles and Army Service Corps, to the < number of 124, will leave the district by * the -day Main Trunk express for '. Featherston, via Woodville, under the ( command of Lieutenant A. T. Dow. Of i the number stated, 81 will leave Auck- i land, 72 from No. 1 (City) Group, and i | 9'from No. 3 (North Auckland) Group, , ' and 43 will join the train at Frankton | Junction— from No. 2 (Paeroa) Group and 41 from No. 4 (Hamilton) Group. All other arms of the service, with the exception of the remainder of the North Auckland q iota and the Ambulance details, will travel by a special train ', which will leave Auckland at 2.50 p.m. J This train will carry a total of 402 men, I and the officer in charge will be Colonel ' ; C. T. Major, D.5.0., and he will be , assisted by Lieutenant H. P. R. Caughey and a medical officer. Of the number i stated, 193 will leave Auckland and will be joined at Frankton _ Junction by 104 ■ men from Paeroa and 105 from Hamilton. J The night express will carry a total of i 109 recruits, 98 from North Auckland, six j Ambulance details from the city, and two and three Ambulance details from Nos. 2 and 4 Groups respectively. The Ambulance details will detrain at Palmerston North for the Awapuni camp. The arrangements for the despatch of the city draft of to-day's quota are now i complete. A general parade will be held ! at 9.30 a.m., and after the roll-call the i men will be dismissed. The mounted rifles and Army Service Corps will parade again at 11-45 a.m., and will march, via Wellesley and Queen Streets, to the railway station, and leave by the mid-day express. The other arms of the service will fall-in again at 12.45 p.m., and after being addressed "by Colonel J. E. Hume, officer commanding the district, will proceed to the railway station, headed by the Central Mission Band. The public will not be admitted to the station until after the men have marched on to the platform and deposited their baggage in the carriages. ' The North Auckland draft will arrive by the steamer Manaia at about 7 p.m and will proceed to the Drill HalL They ■ will afterwards march through Queen ' Street and leave Auckland by the . express. ° ELEVENTH BETNPORCEMENTS. FILLING THE GAPS. A draft of 40 men to fill shortages in : the eleventh reinforcements will leave Auckland by next Monday's mid-day express train. MEDICAL EXAMINATION. TWELVE MEN ACCEPTED. Owing to the departure of Auckland's quota of the twelfth reinforcements to-dav, the usual medical examination of recruits will not be held. An examination was held yesterday morning, but the alteram I tion in the time was evidently not widely known, for the attendance was not good. Twenty-two men were examined, 12 were accepted, nine were deferred, and one rejected as unfit for active service. The recruiting office has been removed to a more convenient position, and is nowsituated in the artillery building. The increased accommodation was taxed to its utmost yesterday afternoon, when a large number of men enlisted.
