GIRL'S THROAT CUT. MAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE. (Received January 11, 1 a..m.) Stdjtet, January 10. A tragedy is reported near Port Macquarrie. A half-cast© named Ritchie fatally cut the throat of a girl named Dane and dangerously gashed his own throat. After living with Ritchie Dane took up with another man. CONSTABLE'S CRIME. SHOOTS SISTER-IN-LAW. (Received January 11, 1 a.m.) Sydney, January 10. A tragedy occurred in Caatlereagh Street. Probationary Constable John Fisher shot his sister-in-law, Jessie Nealon, dead and badly wounded his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher were staying with tho sister-in-law. The statement is made that Fisher wished to leave the Nealons, but his wife refused to do so in a fit of temper. Fisher lost his temper, and after some bickering drew the revolver. His wifo was wounded in the breast and shoulder.
