MAP OF THE BALKAN THEATRE. A French submarine has been sunk off San Giovanni di Medua, a small Albanian port 17 miles south-east of Scutari. It is interesting to note that an Austrian communique claims the sinking of vessels which were landing war supplies at this point. From San Giovanni di Medoa there is a practicable route fo» a railway to the Uskub-Mitrovitisa line in Servia. The Austrians claim the capture of the town of Ipek, in Montenegro.
