GERMAN AGENTS STILL ACTIVE IN GREECE.

ENEMY SUBMARINES USING GREEK PORTS. INCREASING HOSTILITY OF KING CONSTANTINE. London, December. 7. Interest in the Balkan situation centres on the attitude of Greece. Many newspapers comment on King Constantine's statements on the subject. Ihe Westminster Gazette says: "We must accept as absolute King Constantine's declaration that he intends to maintain neutrality. Whatever the strict interpretation of the Treaty' of Bucharest may be, the Greeks must feel that they owe something to the Servians, who fought the battle of Balkan liberty." The Evening Standard states that the interview reeks with quibbles. The Evening News says: "It is clear that we must rely on ourselves alone, and increase our men at Salonika." Representatives of the Greek colony in London assert that King Constantino is apparently afraid to jump in the right direction. It might not do harm if the allies gave him & gentle push. The Athens correspondent of the Italian newspaper Corriere Delia Sera states that German agents continue to purchase Greek journals, and to organise supplies for enemy submarines, which openly use Greek ports. Germanophile newspapers urge the Government to remove the capital from Athens to Larissa, an inland town towards the north of Greece. The mobilisation is more active, and arming proceeds as hastily as if Greece were to' enter the war to-morrow. The Kaiser decorated M. Dousmanis, a high staff officer, on the eve of the visits of Earl Kitchener and M. Cochin. Italian papers assert that King Constantino is more hostile to the allies since Monastir fell, and that he would nullify any concession the Government might make to the allies.
