EIGHT PERSONS KILLED.

Paris, October 16.

The Messageries Maritimes steamer Yunnan, and two other French steamers, have been sunk by torpedoes in the vEgean Sea without warning.

Eight persons were killed and five wounded in the sinking of the Yunnan.

The Yunnan was a steel, twin-screw steam«r of 6474 tons. She was built at Havre in 1903 by Forges and Co., and belonged to the Messageries Co. Her port of entry was Marseilles.
