MEX PASSED AS FIT.

A medical examination of recruits for the reinforcements of the New Zealand Force was held at the Drill Hall yesterday. Fifty-five men were examined, and 58 passed as fit. The other 17 were either deferred or declared unfit for service. The names of the men accepted are as follows :—

AMBULANCE REINFORCEMENTS. MEN LEAVING TO-NIGHT. The Field Ambulance reinforcement draft left Auckland for Palmerston North on Thursday evening 15 short of its total. Owing to the short notice given many on the register were unable to arrange their affairs in time to leave with last Thursday's draft, and some will go forward this evening. Up to last evening eleven had signified their intention to go, thus leaving four vacancies to be filled to-day. The names of the men who have signified their intention to leave with to-night's draft are as follows:—
