The Anglo-French Financial Commission and the bankers of the Eastern States have reached a virtual agreement- regarding details of the proposed loan. Four members of the commission leave Chicago to confer with the western bankers in regard to tentative terms and details.
The amount of the loan is set down at about £100,000,000. The securities are joint Anglo-French notes with interest at 5 per cent. They will yield investors 5i per cent., the notes being issued slightly under par. At maturity of the notes the holder will receive cash or joint Anglo-French 13 or 20 year bonds, bearing 4$ per cent, interest.
