Mr. Justice Cooper left Auckland for the South by the mid-day Main Trunk express on Saturday.
Sir William Hall-Jones, M.L.C., arrived in Auckland on Saturday from Rotorua. He leaves to-day for Wellington by the mid-day express.
Captain F. A. Macindoe, who was recently .appointed secretarv for the Merchant Service Guild, left for Wellington by the Monowai on Saturday to take up his new position.
Archdeacon Calder, vicar of All Saints' Ponsonby, has been confined to his home by illness for several days. His condition was slightly improved yesterday, but be has been advised to rest for two weeks.
Captain F. A. Field, formerly of the Land and Survey Department, Auckland, who has been given a commission with the next mounted rifles contingent, left Auckland hv the Main Trunk express ls?t night for Trentham.
Mr. A. M. Pickford. Mavor of Devonport. left bv the Main Trunk express last night for Wellington, where he will interview the Minister for Internal Affairs on behalf of the Marine Boroughs Association concerning the control of the Lake Takapuna water supply.
