SUICIDE AT KAWHIA.
LABOURER POISONS HIMSELF.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Kawhia, Sunday. A single man, named Thomas Owens, a native of Tasmania, employed as a labourer, was found dead in .bis bedroom in a boardinghouse at Kawhia, some time on Friday night. He had evidently taken poison, as an empty bottle, which had contained poison, was found close to the body, and on a looking-glass in the room was written with soap — Good-bye ; suffered from insomnia."
