QUESTION IN THE HOUSE. [by telegraph.—press association.] Wellington, Friday. In the Legislative Council this afternoon, the Hon. G. Jones asked whether the New Zealandcrs at the Dardanelles will be provided by the military authorities with ail clothing, etc., necessary for their health and comfort during the winter months; also, whether the Department will publish what requisites the public are expected to supply, and the most advantageous and economical means of forwarding parcels to the troops at the front The Hon. Sir F. Bell replied that careful provision had been made by the Defence Department, acting in conjunction with the Army Council, for the supply of necessary clothing for the troops. A committee of ladies had been busy for some time making leather waistcoats. The public were advised by posters as to the best routes and rates for most advantageously forwarding goods to the front.
