BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. The sharemarket was drill yesterday. In standard stocks, New Zealand Insurances were looked for at £5 12s 6d, but sellers held for £5 17s. South British Insurances were available at 955, and buyers quoted 695. Northern Steams (paid up) changed hands at 14s. Waihis sold at 36s 6d at the first call. I>ater in the day they improved, business being done at 36s 9d. Grand Junctions were in demand at 21s 6d. but holders asked 21s 9d. Talismans found sale at 18s 6d.
