STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
Not many transactions took place on the Stock Exchange yesterday. A ■». sale of National Banks was reported at £4 17s 6d. New Zealand Insurances were looked for at £5 13s, but sellers wanted £5 16s. There was inquiry for South British Insurances at 88s. Wilsons Portland Cements (ord.) found sale at (23s 6d). - In mining lines, a sale of Waihis took place at 36s 3d at the first call. Afterwards they firmed to 36s 9d, to 375. Talismans wore disposed of at 18s. Waihi Grand Junctions were quoted at 21s 9d by sellers, and at 21s by buyers.
