QUEEN CARNIVAL.
ARRANGING THE CAMPAIGN.
An, interested in the Patriotic Queen Carnival are invited to attend a meeting to be held in the concert chamber of the Town Hall to-night, when the methods it is intended to follow in connection with the carnival will be fully explained. A Dre"liminary meeting of the Executive Committee has been held, and various matters have been discussed. The executive has appointed Messrs. E. Anderson and W. M. Louisson to act as treasurers. The main office of the executive will be in the building of the Waihi Gold Mining Company, Shortland Street, and the directors of the New Zealand Insurance Company have placed a shop in Victoria Arcade. facing Shortland Street, at the disposal of the executive for use as a depot for the sale of art union tickets, etc. It is hoped that there will be a large attendance at to-night's meeting. Ladies are specially invited to be present.
