Hornsby (Wairarapa), who raised the question last night, asked the Minister for Defence in the House to-night, if in view of a leading article in the Post demanding an inquiry, be would have such _ an inquiry held. He also desired information as to whether two Ministers of the Crown on Saturday last made the statement that a large number of the men retaining in the Tahiti had what was known as " military rheumatism," otherwise \ "cold feet."" The matter was not going to rest where it was. Hon. Members: Hear, hear. The Minister said that if it were shown that an inquiry were necessary or desirable, inquiry would be held.
