Ihe Rivenna sailed yesterday for Dunedin direct, thus omitting ail the usual calls at •n' Coast ports. It is expected that she will return to Auckland in time to sail for Sydney on Monday. September 13- „ Tn* Flora sailed yesterday morning for ••he Cook and Society Islands, but before putting 10 sea she proceeded to Islington pay to adjust her compasses. The vessel 18 ™, ue back at Auckland about September 24 I tie lonic, which arrived at Auckland early yesterday morning from London, via Alexandria ana Suez, was berthed at the Queen's Wharf to discharge 780 tons of general f a f eo ' .m" t voyage throughout was uneventful. The lonic will load frozen meat and general cargo here for London. She sails on Saturday for Whangarei. Wellington, and oydney. to complete her loading. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Whakatane left Sydnev at 5 p.m. on Monday, for Auckland, Wellington Lytteiton and Dunedin, in continuation of her voyage from Montreal. She is expected to arrive here on Saturday morning, and has JOOO tons of Canadian merchandise to discharge at this port. The Matatua, from Montreal, is n ow discharging at Sydney. She has 1100 tons of r ar ico on board for Auckland, and is due here about September 14.
