Tfie Canadian Northern Rail-pray, which is the second largest railway system in the Dominion, operating 4000 miles in Western Canada and 2000 miles in Eastern Canada, now extends from the Atlantic to the Pacific. "With the completion of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. Canada will possess three trans-continental railways. and will be free from the reproach so long hurled at it of possessing length •without breadth. '
