KAMO SPRINGS PURCHASE.

FAVOURED BY MR. MADDER, M.P.

tBT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. 1 WhangAßEi. Monday. In an interview this morning, Mr. F. Mander, M.P., declared himself strongly in favour of the Hospital Board's proposal to buy the Kamo Springs property for use as a convalescent home and for the treatment of wounded soldiers. He said he had spoken to Mr. Coates, M.P. or Kaipara, and Mr. Stewart, M.P. for Bay of Islands. Both greatly favoured the scheme. They suggested that as a central convalescent home the place couFd be made self-supporting, and probably a paying proposition. It would also relievo congestion in the hospital.

The North Auckland Board's proposal is the subject of much debate in Whangarei and district. It is chiefly favoured by country people here.
