NEW MANAWATU INDUSTRY.
MAKING OF CONDENSED MILK.
[by TELEGRiPfI.— association.] Wellington. Tuesday. Under instructions from the Nestle and Anglo-Swiss Milk Co., Ltd., Mr. J. M. Johnston, of Palmerston North, has practically completed the purchase of 28 acres of land opposite Awapuni railway station as a site for the erection of condenseries and a factory for the making of condensed milk. Mr. Johnston states that the cost of the necessary buildings and machinery will ran into £100,000.
