ENEMY THROWN BACK ACROSS THE FRONTIER,
RUSSIANS WITHDRAW FROM SAN TOWARDS LEMBERG.
Wellington, June 20.
The High Commissioner reports from London on June 19:—
"In the region of Touravieva and Shavli, and on the Dubissa, in the Baltic Provinces, fighting took place on the 17th, resulting in little change.
"An artillery duel took place in the evening on the Bzura-Rawka front, from Kozlov to Voliachidrovskaia and Coumine. The enemy spread a cloud of asphyxiating gas over a front of miles.
"On the east of the San Russians withdrew fighting across the River Tenev and the line of the Grodek Lakes, 15 miles west of Lemberg.
| "Between the Pruth and the Dniester the enemy was thrown back v into Austrian territory."
RETREAT OF THE AUSTRIAN'S FROM BESSARABIA.
RUSSIANS CAPTURE MUNITIONS AND SUPPLIES.
(Received June 20, 3 p.m.) Bucharest, June 19.
The Russians forced the Austrians who invaded Bessarabia from Bukovina to retreat to Bojan, They captured a great quantity of munitions and supplies.
