THEFT OF MAIL BAG.

TRACED THROUGH STOLEN NOTES. f-UY TELEGRAM— PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Wanganui, Friday. In the Police Court to-day Edward William Lythberg pleaded guilty to the theft of a mail bag from Halcombe railway station on May 30, 1914. The bag contained remittances'totalling £179 4s 6d. Accused made a complete confession of the theft, which was traced by numbers on the notes, and was committed to Wellington for sentence.
