AUSTRIAN'S DRIVEN FROM ENTRENCHED POSITION.
MOUNTAIN DOMINATING FRONTIER VALLEYS CAPTURED. London, May 30. It is officially stated that, advancing on the banks of the Adige, in the south of Trentino, the Italians captured Pilcante, which was protected by several rows of trenches. The Italian losses were slight. They routed two companies at Lavere. near Misurina. Italian dirigibles dropped numerous bombs and did severe damage on the Friuli frontier. An Austrian aeroplane was brought down near Val de Gano.
Rome correspondents state that the Italians oapvurcd Mount Pasubo, dominating the valleys of Vicenza, on the Trentico frontier.
Kinf Emmanuel has given 84 hunters and carriage horses for the cav?!iy. The aristocracy are following his example.
So great has been the rush to join th« colours that the authorities have temporarily suiipended voluntary enlistment.
