GUARDING VENICE'S TREASURES FROM THE HUNS.
PRECAUTIONS TAKEN AGAINST AERIAL RAIDS. ( Received May 31, 9.30 p.m.) Rome, May 30. As protection from air raids the colonnade of the Doges' Palace at Venice has been bricked in and sand has been heaped in front. The roof of the palace and cathedral has been covered with sand bags. The bronze horses have been removed from the cathedral arch.
