RECOGNISANCES FORFEITED

[BY telegraph.—press association-.] Wellington, Wednesday. Thk complainant, Richard Hubert Bennett, in the case against the three men— Dalton, .Robinson, and Tyler—charged •with robbery with violence, failed to pat in an appearance at the Supreme Court yesterday when the case was called. The Crown law officer, Mr. V. R. Meredith, informed the Court that Bennett could not be found. After complainant's name had been formally called the Chief Justice said that, as the man had not attended according to his recognisances to give evidence, he must forfeit his recognisances .which meant that be would be fined £50.
