The thirteenth list of csualties in the New Zealand expeditionary force was issued by the Defence Department to-day. It contains the names of seven men, who have succumbed to wounds received in action, one being a member of the Auckland Battalion, find six members of the Otago Battalion. Four officers have been wounded, and the list of 66 casualties among the non-commissioned officers and men comprises six members of the Auckland Battalion, 16 of the Canterbury Battalion, 37 of the Otago Battalion, five of the Field Engineers, and two of the Field Ambulance. Two of these men are reported to be dangerously ill. The list also shows that one officer and eight men, who have previously been reported as wounded, are also in a dangerous • condition.

The addition of to-day's list increases the total record of casualties in all ranks to 705, comprising 11 officers and 30 non-commissioned officers and men who have been killed in action or died of their wounds,

and 29 officers and 635 men wounded. These losses are confined to the Infantry Brigade, with the exception of one officer of the headquarters staff, and have been shared by the various units as follows:—
