At the Supreme Court to-day, William Georgo Mftslin was charged with a-m offence in the Botanical Gardens on March 4. The case was not finished when the Court adjourned.

Palmehsion North, Tuesday.
The Supreme Court opened to-day, before Mr. Justice Hosking. Albert Simpkins, a jockey, appeared on a charge of presenting a false £5 totalisntor ticket, purporting to be on Sir Fisher in the sixth ruce of the first day of tho Feilding Easter raced. The ticket had really been issued on a horse with the same number in tho third race. Accused said tho ticket was given to him by a friend, and ho did not know it was not genuine. A verdict of not guilty was returned. J. X. Bell, an old man, was charged with an offence against a girl 14 years of age. The jury returned a verdict of guilty of indecent assault. Prisoner asked fur mercy on account of his old age, remarking that he would be in his grave in 12 months. He was sentenced to d£ years' hard labour.
