HEAVY' TOLL ON ENEMY.

Vancouver, May 7.

The Canadian Minister for Militia finds that there is no cause for discouragement over the Canadians' heavy losses in the recent fighting. He points out that on the Germans' own admissions, they lost 12,000 killed in the battle, in which the Canadians were probably their only opponents.
