POPULAR NEW ZEALANDERS

THEIR LIFE IN CAIRO.

WAR CRY IN CAFE.

Sydney. January 28.

An Australian soHier, in a letter home, says that the New Zealanders are very popular in Cairo. They arc full of life- '"The* troops," he says, " frequent one particular cafe, because there they get good music and good ale- The band plays the ' Marseillaise,' 'God Save the King,' and ' Tipperary/ and then about a hundred Silver-fern boys let go with their war cry. It stirs one up, I can tell you."
