WILDEST DELIGHT EXCITED IN GERMANY.
FORERUNNER OF A ZEPPELIN CAMPAIGN.
BRITAIN'S INVULNERABILITY SCOUTED.

Amsterdam, January 21. Berlin advices state that the news of the raid has excited the wildest delight throughout Germany.
It is stated that the raid was planned months ago, and that the Germans were only awaiting an opportunity. It is declared to be only the beginning of a Zeppelin campaign. . The newspapers comment eulogistically on the raid, saying that German genius has at last ended the legend that Britain is invulnerable owing to her insularity.
The German naval Zeppelin L 5 ran her trials in the car'v summer of 1014 maintaining a speed of 47 niilej, per hour for 34 hours continuously She rose to a height of 10,250 ft. Her earning capacity was stated to be eight and a-ha'f tons, and she was capable of dropping high explosive bombs of a very formidable character, the largest weighing about 5001b. The number of bombs believed to bo carried by tins airship was between 20 and 30. A similar but larger airship, L 4, was practically ready for work on the outbreak of the war The entire German Zeppe.'.n fleet is capabl, of being employed for naval work' to a V h Y UtBet ' 18 '«» n.v.l vessels, and is belief to have been largely augmented in secret since the war beean 4« »1 , these additions, it is known to have lost at least three , in France, and two in Poland.
