At a meeting of the Hamilton Fire Board to-day it was decided to purchase a Dcnms motor fire-engine of 75-h.p.. with a turbine pump rvnd elevator ladder, at a list of £900. Inspector Huge, who was present. remarked that the rear n the N.ard had to go -in for so expensive a plan! na< on account of the low pressure <>:' water tor fire-fighting -poses.
