FIRE AT REMUERA.
LITTLE DAMAGE DONE.
A fire occurred in the residence of Mr. H. G. Seth-Smith, in Victoria Avenue, Remuera, shortly after seven o'clock last night. The Remuera Fire Brigade was quickly in attendance and found that the fire was confined to one of the walls of the diningroom. Jso difficulty was experienced in subduing the outbreak before much damage had been done. Mr. SethSmith is not at prew?nt living in the house, which is in the care of Mr. Cook. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it is thought, likely that as it started inside the lining of the diningroom rats or mice may have been responsible.
