CLEANING WHITE KID GLOVES
Sift well together equal quantities of finely powdered fuller's earth and alum. Put "on the glove, and. with a clean rag. thoroughly rub the mixture into the texture of the kid. Br-<=h it off. Then mix together equal quantities of very dry bran and powdered whiting. Rub over the ■ : gloves, shake well, and then polish over ■,'wiih clean soft rags. A good way of : keeping white gloves clean is to rub them ovor with a piece, of flannel dipped in ben k Cue before removing them from the hand? '■':, ,each time they are worn. This prevents the do or grease spots sinking into the £.-','"• kid, and leaving traces very difficult to ?■•'' remove.
