WAIHI. 3 The following cablegram has been sent to the London office of the Wailii Gold Mining Company, Ltd." No. 11 Level, Dreadnought J£ast> Next 98ft, 375. Empire South, Section West: 89ft, 365. At 3&2 ft in Bath north crosscut have cut lode <sft wide; 91s ; course 50 degrees vertical." DOMINION. The manager of the Dominion mine, Karangahake, reports that last week good progress was made m extending the low level crosscut. The tunnel was in a total of 1495 ft. A break was met with crossing the drive. It was heavily mineralised and had a strong underlie to the east. This corresponded to the underlie of the reef and country rock'at the surface. K. UK AN 01. The Magazine tunnel in the Kuranui mine, Thames, was advanced lift last week. The country was still firm, but had greatly improved, and was carrying nice mineral. A break was passed through, and was 6in wide. WAIOTAHI. Work at the Waiotahi mine, Thames, during the past week has been entirely confined to the cleaning up of the old battery for the purpose of recovering any gold lost during the many years of crushing.
