OBITUARY.
MRS. JOHN HOWIE.
Br the death of Mrs. John Howie, of Newton, who passed away 0:1 Monday last, after a brief illness, the Auckland Methodist- Mission has lost one i.;' us oldest and most, energetic workers. Mrs. Howie was also we;! known in eonuecti.iu with the Remuora Children's Home, being for many years president of that institution. The funeral takes place to-morrow, leaving Edwin Street at 1.45 p.m. for the Erst Street Hall, where a brief service will be held, and thence proceeding to Waikumete.
MRS. ELEANOR MT)SSMAN.
The death of Mrs. Eleanor Mossman occurred in a private hospital in Hastings on Saturday. Mrs. Mossman was born on the Dilworth family estate in Dungannan, north of Ireland, and was a sister of the late Mr. James Dilworth, of Remuera, and was the only surviving member of the family. Her husband predeceased her by some years, having attained the age of - 100 years, while Sirs. Mossman was 96 ' M years of age. A son of the deceased'lady fl is Mr. W. J. Mossman, of Ellerslie. ;-?■ ■
