REMUERA ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of" the Rcmuera Road Board was held last night, when there were present: Messrs. J. Dempscy (in ihechair),.!. B. Paterson, G. W. " Murray. C. H. Funuss, J. G. Rutherford, S. M. MooreJones, A. B. Herrold, P. Spencer, and W. J. Parker.
The engineer submitted drawings and an estimate for the foimation r.f a footpath on the lower side of Westbourne Crescent. The matter was referred i" the Works Committee.
An application was received from Mr. Joseph Wilson to be supplied with the fixed levels for Portland Road, opposite his property. It was resolved to cut down the footpath to the permanent level ; f Mr. Wilson would go to the expense of erecting gates at the altered levels. Complaints were received as to the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board sewer. It was pointed out that tho trouble was due to want of ventilating shafts. The board decided to forward the complaint to the Drainage Board, with a recommendation that the defects complained of be remedied.
