THE BRITISH METHOD.

EXCELLENT ARRANGEMENTS.

MODERN HOSPITAL TRAIN.

(Received November 15, 7.30 p.m.)

London, November 14.

The Times' medical correspondent in Paris states that the arrangements for the treatment of the wounded British soldiers are admirable. An excellent hospital train, provided with kitchens and an operating room, brings the wounded to Boulogne.

_ Sir Almroth Wright has established a bacteriological laboratory at Boulogne. His researches have already shown the existence of gangrene and septic conditions in the wounds of the soldiers, which are due to a micro-organism which only flourishes when closed to the atmosphere. The surgeons are now keeping all wounds open in order to allow air to reach them. This causes them to heal excellently.
